iPod Nano got a bit wet will Oct. 03

Last night as I took the clothes out of my washing machine found my iPod Nano nestling there which was kinda amusing for a few seconds until I realised that even though it now smells nice enough it might not be so good at playing music.

When I took it out it had this message "OK to disconnect" which was sorta heartwarming if a bit confusing. Bit like the thing committed suicide or something. But just gonna dry him out now and hope for the best... fingers crossed. Seems like quite a lot of people here on the fishing net have put there nanos/shuffles through the wash and usually they were ok, so lets hope eh.

Yes, it's a Digital Tunes iPod :D

    my ipod also got in the wash. screen was completly soaked and it dosent turn on=( i need help i would like to know how to fixs him...i love my Ipon Nano(New 4GB)

    uhg like i spilt beer all on mine,,, and i don't know how long it got soaked for ... but not that much, but some did get in tehre, what should i do?? I kinda don't want to buy another one... but open to the point that i might just have to. it's a Pink nano.. 4GB

    okay so i had a friend who dropped theres in a pool.. to get the water out they put it in a bag of rice.. apparently it absorbs the water.. i havent tried it myself or anything but she said it worked for her.. hope i can help:) 3Faita Bam

    i was out by my pool swimming and it was hot i got out of the pool to change the song a drip of water hit my ipod and now it wont work. i think maybe the circuit board got fried but im not sure please help me.

    I spilt my tea on my desk and it got wet a little, it turns on and plays music but when it comes to turning it off and putting it on hold.. Outa weirdness it comes back on. I dunno what to do =(

    hey just put it over a heating vent (not to hot) and wait but dont touch anything after about 8-24 hours take it off and it should work like new!

    Hi... I went out in the rain and i had my ipod in my pocket. I got soaked.. and i wasn't sure whether it is was ok for it... now when i try to put it on charge it keeps reseting continuously... It holds no charge... Does not connect to the pc.... Just you see the aplle logo on a second then off... then on... then off... I have no idea what to do .... HELP PLEASE Its the 5th generation 80gb Ipod..... :( :( :( Thanks

    hi everyone my ipod nano 5th generation completely stopped working today, for no reason what so ever, nothing would work, iyt wouldnt charge or even show the apple sign. conclusion was to toggle hold switch on top a few times and then hold both the menu and the center button for about 10ish seconds and then magically the apple sign appeared. dont know why this happened but i am very relieved now as it costs a lot of money.

    Just blow dry it. I accidently left mine in my pants when i washed them, and it was all frozen and it wouldnt work, and the screen was all wet. So I got my blowdryer and I just dried it with that..now it works perfectly fine(:blow the air threw the bottom [[the connection thingy]] and at the cirlce

    yeah i just got my ipod washed in the washing machine and iam so sad but yeah so we read on the internet that if u put it in a bowl of rice it will suck out the moister so i am trying that and you might wanna consider being in the refrigerator because it will dry it out or putting it on the air vent or something just to dry it out i wish i could get mine to work

    ahh mine got in the wash! i am so mad! but u r suppost to put it in front of the hair dryer then put it in a cup of rice 4 a day. Next day, charge it up. Wait a few hours then, take it out. If the screen is white, thats good! now just put your sings back on! good luck!

    i fell asleep with mine on and it shut itself off but now when i turned it on it says ok to disconnect i let it die and hope recharging will fix it

    mine ipod nano 3g 4gb was in the pocket during a rainy wet wet run. i dried it with hair fon. the day after it was reborn with the white screen and after it came back to work. but now the battery doesn't charge. it starts only when connected with pc but battery does not recharge. when i disconnect fisically the usb cable the ipod is turned off... game over! reset done, ipod update done, recover done. do i buy another one? (sorry for my english... i'm italian)
